PSA's issue is QC, i would not reccomend them for first time users. For a meme build or for people who like to have to constantly fix shit they are ok.

Anything between Psa prices and DD is good. Don't go near creek cheap and don't go too meme shit expensive either unless it's HK but also don't go boring shit like m&p 15. Generally some no name small but quality focused place for upper components is good. IMO you should build you're first rifle always by learning what quality barrels and milling on uppers is. Any lower that isn't poverty pony is going too be good enough. Heck print you're first lower blue lives matter

A romeo 5 or hs403b is like $130. 100-mph tape and ziptie a streamlight polytac and a two point sling on it and you're out the door for like 250 plus the base carbine.
