Keeping planes from crashing into each other is fascism

That isn't even remotely implied.

There's a constitutional crisis going on right now because an unelected oligarch nazi is using executive power the executive branch explicitly does not have against an agency that was involved in investigating that oligarch; there's a clear conflict of interest and an obvious appearance of impropriety.

Meanwhile the FBI is in turmoil because an investigation is being launched into the investigation launched of the January 6th coup.

Trace writes well from within the moderate framework of evenhanded politics, but his use of evenhanded politics at a time of crisis is woefully blind to the reality we are facing.

I don't have a problem with giving some credit to Vance but without the acknowledgment of the present reality, Trace is on the record as one who has yet to meet or even understand the moment.

The plot update has hit, and Trace is writing about soviet era politics the day after 9/11. yes soviet era politics matter, but 9/11 just happened and the war on terror is beginning, what are you even doing?
