Leftoids really did lose a lot of political ground on the trans stuff. The correct way to go was literally "don't ask don't tell," like use the bathroom where you'll create the least fuss, play in youth women's sports if you're not going to crack every woman's skull, but if you are you should probably play in the male league or just don't play, etc. Until they pulled aggro from rightoids, most people were pretty much okay with the idea of just thinking they're kinda weird and misguided but whatever, "live and let live" and treat them with the normal amount of dignity you'd afford to a stranger.

Instead they way way overstepped and invited this huge backlash against leftoidism in general. Now some states want to roll back gay marriage lmao. Really an unforced error.

It's true, especially since trans sports polls terribly while nondiscrimination polls pretty well. Normies don't think landchads should be able to evict a trans renthog for train activities. A sensible middle ground was right there, but The Groups instead asked Harris to go on record as pro-bottom surgery for murderers. Stupid.
