What you are seeing is a phenomenon called "Blue MAGA". These are people who view the Democratic party as a method to affect positive change in the world, instead of seeing them for what they are, the liberal wing of fascism. For the Blue MAGA cultist, the world is percieved through the lens of "left vs. right", instead of "up vs. down", where the Democratic party, in their worldview, is considered left.
