Its actually hilarious how important Gamegate ended up being in modern political discourse. From leftist dogma supersaturating the medium for a decade, to radicalizing politically disinterested young men into engaging in counter-politics, right up to the recent revelation that its all been paid for by the federal fricking government.

I'm not going to attribute the entire political backlash against leftism to it because its obviously just one part of a greater whole, but to deny that it turned out to be relevant would be dishonest.
