These idiots have absolutely no idea how the laws about this work. Most white collar jobs can already ask you to work arbitrarily-long hours - if you're salaried and make more than a pittance you're exempt from govt rules about overtime, you don't need to be paid for your overtime, and most salaried positions do not pay overtime. There's absolutely no law preventing my employer from demanding that I work 60-hour weeks. They don't demand that because I would simply refuse and go work elsewhere, and then they'd be out a good employee. But these people can't comprehend that because they try to create job security through force of law and not through simply being valuable employees.
