I heard someone praise the fishing mechanism in RDR2, saying it closely resembles real life fishing. Considering that it comes with none of the benefits of real life fishing, it seems like a terrible way to spend our finite hours on this Earth.

I don't think anybody on their death bed would look back on their life, and wish they'd spent more time fake-fishing in video games.
