A hotel receptionist is one of those jobs that people would prefer to keep an actual person at the front desk so I'm immediately suspicious of this lady.

Yeah, hotel check-ins have probably been automatable for like 20 years. There's no AI breakthrough there except being able to tell you where the fitness center is and what restaurants you can walk to. And an AI still can't get you extra towels so you still need some sort of wagie there to fetch stuff
