TLDR freeports are these special customs zones typically at shipping ports where taxes dont apply. The uber rich exploit this by buying and selling goods within the port and not being taxed on the profit so long as the goods stay in transit/remain in a warejouse at the freeport. Bc of this theres warehouses full of expensive and beautiful fine art and literature that just sits in boxes remaining unseen being bought and sold multiple times over decades and supposedly there is no tax on any of that commerce.
