Successful knee surgery just means they didn't frick it up, it doesn't fix things completely, lots of people don't get back the full range of motion, and there is a lot of chronic bone pain afterwards.

As someone with knee problems I really doubt the mobility and pain is worse after the surgery as opposed to before.
