I was going to say that another one for your list would be that free speech is good unless republicans have it. These days we're learning that it ends democracy and leads to Holocausts. Though, actually, I can't even remember the last time they pretended to like free speech. Maybe in 1989 when they where happy that burning the American flag was declared constitutionally protected by the Supreme Court?
