Wow so it's hard to hire people when you go on national news and talk shit about them for trying to keep themselves safe? who would have guessed? Being a teacher is a horrible job! Throw in the poliltical posturing and it's even worse. The only thing you get is the satisfaction of perhaps slightly improving a few young people's lives in a rapidly collapsing society

Bring back corporal punishment. Thats literally the only thing i can think of at this point.

Teachers are lazy, teachers are overpaid, teachers ruin lives, teachers are easily replaced, teachers should risk their lives for others, teachers should be forced to work, teachers are the reason for all my students’ issues, teachers don’t deserve respect, anyone can be a teacher.

Why don’t people want to be teachers?

This started out so based only to be ruined by not being serious.

This is a failure of parenting. Parents who give a shit about their kids are involved and able to discipline them before things get that bad.

People always play the racist card when it gets brought up, but a lot of what you see in the failures of black communities comes down to shitty parenting (or no parenting at all). Look up attachment theory, infants who don't receive enough affection from a parent end up violent and anti-social. We're just seeing this on a large scale in the black community because so many black fathers are absentees, and so many black mothers don't prioritize their kids. And while this is mostly a poor thing, you don't see it as bad with poor whites, poor Mexicans or poor Asians.

It seems like we've reached the endpoint of social liberalism. Basically everybody who wants to contribute to society can, but those who don't want to contribute can't be convinced or made to with the limitations on government power we've placed ourselves and nobody knows what to do about it.

Sure there are idiots out there with the "just kill/repress them all" approach to trouble makers, but these clowns never stop to think that the same tools of the state could just as easily be turned against them.

Amen! A cat is enough for me and my wife for ever. It's good to see views changing though, I'm 33 and our generation seems way cooler with "Nah we're not having kids" than the Boomer generation.

We spend astonishing amounts of money on our education system compared to other parts of the world. This is mostly a cultural and parental issue.
