Watching morons find out that their “cause” was just a dollar sign to corporations will never not be funny.

The best part is they never learn, even in their own bubble. Look at how fast everyone got over Chadwick Boseman getting posthumously put in his place by Hollywood.

How did the Boseman thing go?

Chadwick was in a movie about black musicians having their work stolen by le evil wypipo. He put on a great show and it was a good movie.

However, the movie was made by actual black people, instead of people trying to pander to self-hating whites. So the main antagonist of the movie, accurately, is a literal hook nosed merchant who scams the black artists and gives their material to thin lipped honkeys.

Many people in the Academy presumably identify quite closely with said antagonist. By being that person back in the days. So instead of Chadwick getting a posthumous Oscar for a great performance, they gave the award to a worthless old white dude for no reason and silenced all complaining about it via not reporting/responding on it. As one big reminder to stay in their place and stop “noticing” things.

I remember some super trippy German movie where they bypassed this problem by making the scheming semite into a fantasy creature (strangely a troll and not a goblin).

That's pretty fricking funny. I didn't hear anything about it, what was it called?

Ma Rainey’s Black Bottom. Pretty good movie if you can stomach the character drama type. Lots of impassioned arguments and character motivation speeches.
