I was part of the starting mod team for a censorship free alternative of our national sub. I was added as token leftoid actually but then I got permad and lost touch with those guys. I visited the sub recently, it has more rules for posting than the national sub and I couldn't find the mod log anywhere(we had it on the sidebar at the start).
I guess all of us prone to shenanigans go shoahd. Can't find one of the guys I knew on the mod team. It has 220k subs now though.

Well part of the problem is the increasingly strict content policy and ToS and the r-slurred “anti evil” team looming over you.. There’s a lot of pressure from users too. I notice lots of mods tend to think the loud minority speaks for everyone. There’s always lots of fear mongering from people too in subs with “no rules”. You do have to be smart but you also need to have the balls to tell people to frick off. It’s so annoying how stupid authoritative people can be. They think the admins assign people to moderate subreddits that were just always there and have no idea how the site actually works.
