Study: College student grades actually went up in Spring 2020 when the pandemic hit. Furthermore, the researchers found that low-income low-performing students outperformed their wealthier peers, mainly due to students’ use of flexible grading. : /r/science

Chuds in controversial not having it

My colleagues, superiors, and I flat out refuse to hire 2020/21 grads in our engineering field…there are certain things that require interpersonal skills and zoom can’t suffice

@Senpaider-Man was a 2020 grad and my grades went up because @Senpaider-Man cheated my butt off on all my exams.

I went to school for IT things. The guy at the top of our class/deans list or whatever got there by cheating. I looked at his laptop one time- he was downloading one of those gigaspyware programs that "kept his drivers up to date."

People laugh at me when i tell them i dont use anti-virus. 99% of the time you can tell if something is a virus or not just by looking at it. Cybersecurity outside of corporate espionage/attacks is basically useless the moment you tell someone to look at the layout of a program.

Legit programs dont have spelling errors and improperly scaled fonts, so why are you downloading them?

well yeah, a lot of undergrad classes decided to just let people P/F whatever the frick they wanted or were otherwise more lenient

of course grades went up. but that shit isn't sticking around if virtual becomes the standard. profs just felt bad for their students during, you know, a pandemic
