:marseygrilling2: Wincel gigajannie /u/C wants the platform to be apolitical, CP enjoyers remind him that silence is violence :marseyunpettable:

https://communities.win/c/Announcements/p/141YbUDRav

/u/C, the head admin of communities.win (the network that sort of owns consumeproduct.win), has decided that theya'll can't behave. Well, sort of. In his own words:

It’s our intention to:

present a default experience void of content relating to politics and social issues

… while also ensuring that users who are interested in such content can easily find their way to those communities

… while also ensuring that users who just want to see cats, do not get exposed to highly politicized content

For context, if you go to the homepage of communities.win atm, it is almost entirely agendaposts. Naturally that makes sense - what normal, well adjusted person goes to communities.win lmao. Well, /u/C, for one, thinks that people should be able to curate their own experience to allow the option of remaining apolitical. :marseybased:

There is no excuse for vibrant community platforms to not provide user-filters for removing unwanted content, with the only valid explanation being that the platform wants politics to continue seeping into every day life.

Could it be that his drama-egg is cracking? Perhaps. He also reasserted that the .win ecosystem is definitely not a right-wing circlejerk and that any political ideology is welcome

We do not have a commitment to prominently displaying political or otherwise divisive content to all users, but we do have a commitment to treat all political content equally, and make such content easily discoverable for those who may want to see it.

One more thing, they are also renaming it to scored.co which is kinda gay but idk. at least it isn't HYPER-MASCULINE-WE-ALWAYS-WIN small peepeeery haha. :marseydicklet:

Anyways, on to the drama. patriot68 has an absolute banger of a comment, but since you all have ADHD fried brains I will pick out the choicest cuts :marseychefkiss:

Notice the liberal-talk of creating a non-political experience. This means these communities will evolve towards topics like furries, trans-culture and pooping in each others' mouths.

/c/mouthshitters when?

[...] serious topics like restoring a country and a culture already half-lost will be considered boring and to be sidelined.

you're already boring sweaty πŸ’… he then goes on to talk about a ron paul circlejerk website and keeps calling him Dr. Ron Paul lmao :marseyhappening:

/u/One-Four-Zero reveals the reason that he is perpetually online

Speaking for myself at least, politics and social issues are the entire reason I'm here (that is: "online"). Were I living in a virtuous world absolutely devoid of communists I'd have no need to speak to anyone ever and would just tend my crops all day.

/u/TheImpossible1 has but one simple request

Can you promise never to allow feminists to be part of this new site? Otherwise you're just going to end up like fricking Reddit.

serious topics like restoring a country and a culture already half-lost

The notorious "greatest country in the world" and a "culture of strength" that somehow immediately collapse if you stop handholding them for a second.
