There's some very old apartment buildings in my city that had their rent frozen since the early 1920s or something, so their rent now is less than 1/3rd the daily minimum wage. Its absurd how low they are. They're prime property too, central location and everything. Since they are so low owners obviously don't maintain them. And occasionally one will burst into flames. It could be the decades of poor maintenance and exposed electrical wiring of course. Or it could be the owners going
