Yeah, marsey started years ago on /r/drama when ed used it to snooze-post. Eventually he posted the sticker pack and its name, before that it was just "the cat" he'd occasionally post. But it didnt really see much use on reddit. Only when aevann (or other codecel) added her here, did she really take off. And it wasnt until we started making our own, that she really rose to prominence over platy, far less taytay. I'd wager that early on, taytay was used more here than marsey.

And there was also just one guy (i always forget the username smh) who single-handedly made "dude bussy lmao" a thing by spammong it everytime someone mentioned bussy, to make fun of us. Kind of like bard_bot.

We'd need someone like snally to really dive deep, because these are just half-remembered snippets of memories from better days.
I guess this is what it is like for the last survivors of indigenous cultures, trying to remember what their life was once like, but knowing that it all dies with them. And deep down being aware that most of it is already lost.
I joined drama when srd started to become insufferable, must have been before or very early into DD(R)'s candidacy. All those memories lost in time, like tears in rain
