I do find the current dogma around it to be deeply incoherent and the activists to be delusional but fundamentally I support the right of adults to do whatever they want to their own bodies and make reasonable interpersonal requests to their social circles to treat them in a certain way. I also support people's right to tell them to frick off if that's not acceptable to them.

Disappointing but not surprising. Fits cleanly into the default narrative for these things.
If they had only quoted Bardfinn, I probably couldn't cleanly push for a correction, but when they restate her narrative outside quotes ("The โr/transparenttranskidโ subreddit was created to platform hateful stereotypes of transgender people."), they step beyond "this person says this" and into "this is true", which should provide real impetus for a correction if they're willing to be honest about it and if enough documentation is available.
