I honestly never expected to see a latinx/latine user in the wild, I thought they were just a journ*lism/college thing. He makes it even better by getting visibly angry at the word r-slur. This is really minor in the grand scheme of things, but I’m so happy with it.

I've been learning Spanish for a while now and one thing I've noticed with native speakers is they get mad if you start speaking Spanish without asking first. Something about it seems like you're assuming that they can't speak English, I guess. Whatever. The point is I'm going to make sure I use latinx next time someone bitches about it so I can really piss them off.

I worked with the japanese for years and they get pissed and offended if you remotely try to speak any of it to them while they are in the U.S. they even speak English to each other in one on one conversations. They take it as an offense as being to dumb to adapt.

It's annoying in general for native English speakers trying to practice foreign languages. Everyone just switches to English as soon as they learn that's what you speak. You have to really get into the depths of the 3rd world until you find a population that can't speak much English back to you.
