It's over for mayos

A small amount of moaning here so far:

Mainly people saying they couldn't give a frick because the writing is so bad they haven't watched it in years.

Really struggling myself to give a frick about this since wokewashing is a staple feature of almost all creatively bankrupt productions now, but I'm sure there's some nerds somewhere having a meltdown.

while it's obvious he's been chosen for his skin colour, there's nothing particularly offensive about having a black Doctor since there's no reason he shouldn't be black in that particular universe.

though tbh I never really understood what was so good about Doctor Who, not even the 'good' ones.

Honestly it kinda takes the wind out of the sails of it being a black guy when a white woman did it previously. As bad as the new episodes was having a lady doctor felt… important? Now it feels like convenient that they go for a black guy next, like thats the runner up to a woman

Honestly yea it was never particularly good unless you had a really good actor in the part. I feel like they should have established that the men could change their face only into other men and same with women and have the doctor who character played by a black guy with #13. Ultimately tho, i wont watch it and dont care. BBC shows frick kids on their productions and im not gonna support that just so the shows can say the working class are scum

I loved the Eccleston, Tennant, and Smith years, with the fantasy and world building and escapism. However the writing was awful through Capaldi's tenure and of course they went full r-slur with a female Doctor.

I stopped being upset at franchises going woke because that usually only happens when things have already gone to total shit and the "experts" will try anything to stop the haemorrhaging.
