A small amount of moaning here so far:

Mainly people saying they couldn't give a frick because the writing is so bad they haven't watched it in years.
Really struggling myself to give a frick about this since wokewashing is a staple feature of almost all creatively bankrupt productions now, but I'm sure there's some nerds somewhere having a meltdown.

Itβs a womens show. Casting a woman made zero sense to me

I think it defies classification. It's a low budget children's show vaguely set in space that creepy adults get obsessed with.
Been circling the drain for a while now and has been paving the way to change the main character (who in 13 incarnations was always a white man) into, first, a woman and now a black man.

Just like with bond, there's actually nothing wrong with any character becoming a black man.
It's them being a foid which surpasses believability, so this is actually a step in the right direction.

You joke but Capaldi was cast when the head writer was Scottish, and that same write cast a scottish actress as his nemesis so it was like nationalist nepotism

Pretty much. Its not high budget like Star Wars. Its not ethically well written like star trek. Its not scary like twilight zone. It coasts by on novelty
