Actually, the St. Louis to New Orleans area had Creoles and Cajuns in decent numbers. They even built a couple monasteries.

Of course the original Louisana had parts of the eastern Midwest and there some French and French Canadian settlements before they lost the territory to the bongs.

I honestly don't care much, it's just banter. Louisiana being sold was just the final nail in the coffin, the Seven Years war is pretty much what killed our ambitions in North America.

I care as much as I actually unironically love France and expect better.
