I recognize that name, so he probably has enough fans to ditch Wapo and go to Substack. All you need is like 1,000 people who actually like you (i.e., any journo with any fans at all, basically,) and you get paid more than anywhere in the industry.

Probably just a ruse to do so, people love that "I got fired by woke freaks, let's talk about these nutjobs" story. Gets you your first subscribers when it goes viral on Twatter.
