Foid wins $5.2 million by suing Geico because she caught an STD while having s*x in a car they insured.

She originally was awarded $1 million a few months back but GEICO just said no and took her to court again so they got fricked worse than she did.

Because it was shitty lawyer mistakes from the insurance company. Instead taking part of the arbitration they ignored the key parts of it until the judgement. They can't do shit if they aren't part of it.

To all the people asking "how?" insurance companies don't like going to court so they put in "binding arbitration" clauses into policies so that if they need to do something that is kind of like a court they can instead do arbitration with a trusted and neutral middle man. Geico blew off this process and really fricked up then tried to appeal it to a normal court which told them what it would have told one of their clients that did that. "you agreed to binding arbitration, pound sand"

This morning, Cum went to the park. I went with Coom. And Cum brought Coomer frisbee. At least I think it was Coomers. By the end of the day, Cum started throwing the frisbee to Cumself.

No they refused to intervene and said there was no coverage. So by state law the parties went into arbitration. When the Foid won and got the judgment. She tried to get it executed in court which is what you do with those kinds of agreements. Geico is monitoring the court system and sought to intervene. The judge granted the motion to intervene and then ruled against Geico like a chad. This tweet is about Geico losing its appeal. The reason why they lost the appeal is because they intervened too late and because they have something called a doc action pending in federal court. It's entirely possible that they'll get ruled against again. But really that doc action is the first and only thing that they probably need to do. Also getting an STD in a car is not something that is excluded from coverage under the injuries you might suffer from the youths and operation of a motor vehicle. So at least for Geico if not for all policies for at least the next few months until your policy renews this is Actually an open and viable way to get a claim through. Though you might still fail at the federal doc action which is the thing that Geico should have done but didn't.

Tldr. Insurance companies owe you a defense and if they dont at least do that, they are held to the judgment.

woman: My sexual partner spread the STD to me by not taking precautions and not telling me about it. His insurance covers this happening to me, somehow. I will settle for 1 million dollars.

arbitrator: It was in the guy with insurance’s car so the woman is right about the coverage. Have 5.2 million dollars.

GEICO: This is r-slurred and you didn’t let us defend our interests.

court: You decided this system and need to stand by it. Also you didn’t even try to defend the guy. Sneed.
