She originally was awarded $1 million a few months back but GEICO just said no and took her to court again so they got fricked worse than she did.

To all the people asking "how?" insurance companies don't like going to court so they put in "binding arbitration" clauses into policies so that if they need to do something that is kind of like a court they can instead do arbitration with a trusted and neutral middle man. Geico blew off this process and really fricked up then tried to appeal it to a normal court which told them what it would have told one of their clients that did that. "you agreed to binding arbitration, pound sand"
