What is the Fediverse

Fediverse, or just Fedi, is a microblogging social media network where your posts Federate. It's decentralized, similar in fashion to Email; when you make a post on one instance, it shows up on other instances, and vice versa. There are literally thousands of instances to federate with (we do!) and hang out. The community is completely different compared to Twitter too. It's free software (open sores) which means it can be modified and extended

Who uses Fediverse

Anyone... but people choose who to federate with over time. We hang around a lot of cooler instances, like kiwifarms.cc , shitposter.club, poa.st (rightoid instance, fun to frick with ;), freespeechextremist.com, and its meme derivatives, like freecumextremist.com (i love this domain and everyone here is fun!)

Some niche microcelebs use it, like:

• Josh Null Moon

• Crunklord420, creator of those cool TempleOS games and creator of kiwifarms.cc

• Pete, admin of Freespeechextremist, but just a nice fun neurodivergent

• peepee.li creator

• Basically Twitter but for internet racists , crossdressers, and funny people

• That one guy who posts ducks (everyone loves him)

How to Use 101

• Go to Federated timeline

• Find content you like

• Follow people who post things you like

• Repeat 🠕

Try following large instance admins, like @[email protected] or @[email protected] or @[email protected], hint: use the search function

QA / Terms Worth Knowing

• "This frontend looks like shit and is overwhelming", try Soapbox for a familiar experience

• "but i use a toaster computer"... try bloatFE or Treebird, which is my own Frontend written in C and FCGI (still in development (rdrama's build is kinda old even tho its my own software lol))

• "The federated timeline is full of porn", the coomposters have awaken , press the block or mute button if you're a kitty or a sane christian boy, usually these are just bots, I don't really control the content that federates, because everyone has different tastes

and some terms:

• Hellthread - Large butt thread with like 10+ people over something r-slurred like pineapple on pizza or some such

• Fediblock / Defederation - When you're too funny and cool that you make a freakish block your entire fricking domain for saying silly things once, like the official mastodon server, which blocks us (usually normal people and non neurodivergents do this)

• Mastodon - A fediverse server used by females and freaks, full of people who hate fun

• Pleroma - Superior Fediverse Backend, it's what we use by the way

• Cofe - some weird drink that keeps people awake

• Suya - idk what this means people just keep saying it like internet addicted r-slurs it means sleep or something in chinese

• Birdsite / Birdshite - self explainatory, nobody likes a twitterstrag

• Gab / Poltard - Gab used to federate, but people kept posting anime girls which scared them away and caused them to quit federating entirely. Truth social also runs Mastodon btw.
