Question regarding road etiquette.

So I’m driving down a two-lane road in the woods and a Passat pulls up behind me and starts flashing his brights in my rear-view mirror. Keep in mind I always go over the speed limit, so I wasn’t holding up traffic or anything.

I pull over, thinking there’s something wrong or he’s trying to tell me something. I’ve had a car catch fire before so I figure better safe than sorry.

The dude pulls up next to me and says “What!?”

I say “Why were you flashing your brights at me?

He responds “My wife passed (in the other direction) and I was saying hi to her you idiot!” And then quickly drove off.

He also had a child seat in the back seat.

My question is, would I be justified killing him? I followed him and am down the street from his house right now.

Edit: I’ve left but I grabbed some mail out of his mailbox and have his name, address, and license plate.

Yes. He deserves it. Freedom of speech does not mean freedom of consequences.

It’s illegal in my state to flash your high beams within 500 feet of an oncoming vehicle and illegal to do so behind someone at any distance.

Somehow I’m supposed to be the idiot for pulling off to the side? If he wasn’t trying to flash at me, why did he pull over next to me?

I really need to work on my road rage issues because I’m going to end up killing someone.
