Those cook books of well known franchises sell super well. There are ones for World of Warcraft, Elder Scrolls, Final Fantasy, DnD, GoT, Overwatch, Fallout, Star Wars, Harry Potter, ....

If this is a troll I have a lot of respect for him but I'm leaning towards mental health issues. He's really into words words words like bardfinn so I think it's a similar case. He probably just needs to transition to feel more euphoric
He's obviously heavily neurodivergent, probably ADHD too hence adderall, plus I smell a little bit of paranoid schizo in there. Dude has the mind of 15 year old, he's a basket case.

Actually, he later admits to not having enough attention for Goosebumps. He only started reading them in his 30s, and he's only been able to read two of them.
What I'm trying to say is that there is a 300% chance that he will be executing kindergarteners within a week.
>literature sub that thinks he is actively reading Goosebumps.
If you scroll through any of the book/literature subs that aren't niche you'll find plenty of posts perfectly demonstrating the infantilization of the modern adult.
Seriously. People calling manga reading. People considering Harry Potter adult literature. People complaining classics don't adhere to modern political views. Grown men asking for "adult" YA. It goes well beyond anti-intellectualism and straight into what I call perpetual childhood. It doesn't help that a lot of people can't even read many classics if they wanted to. I don't know how much of this is due to the education system and how much is due to culture but it's depressing.
People donโt have the attention spans for it anymore. Thatโs why audiobooks have made such a splash in the demographics old enough to still care about books.

I'll be honest, I just skimmed that, but have you maybe considered seeing therapist or something? Whilst I am not a doctor and have no training in mental health, nor any idea what the rest of your life is like, what you're describing sort of sounds similar to what I was going through when my mental health was at its worst

You wonder if youโve outgrown all literature, but you also talk about reading Goosebumps as an adult and youโre apparently quite serious. This is quite concerning. Goosebumps is for children about ten nine old and just learning to read for the first time. Goosebumps (literally kidsโ lit), YA (also for children, YA being a flattering euphemism), science fiction, horror and romance all tend rather unsurprisingly to be very superficial and childish genres, yes. Iโm sorry to go full literary snob here but those books are training wheels that come after learning the ABC and only one small part of all that there is out there for you to read. Iโm kind of surprised that you seem to think youโve exhausted literature.
Ok so Iโve been triggered by this. Sci fi is for smart people. Isaac Asimov was a literal genius. Heโs much smarter than Shakespeare or Trotsky and defo smarter than any Redditor (but not as smart as me I once scored 100% in an IQ test)

First of all, there are plenty of great classic novels that don't revolve around a love story. Why not read Crime and Punishment? The Trial and The Castle by Franz Kafka? The Handmaid's Tale? The Sailor who Fell from Grace with the Sea? Heart of Darkness? Things Fall Apart? Bread Givers? Native Son? Invisible Man by Ralph Ellison? The Night/Dawn/Day trilogy or The Town Beyond the Wall by Elie Wiesel?
One thing that does bother me about litsnobs these days is that you can tell they all went through roughly the same curriculums because their recommendations coalesce into a single list. Iโm not saying any of these are bad books, and theyโre certainly better than the trifling bullshit some places teach, but itโs all the same.
