I'm pretty sure its just a philly thing. Just look at the Bill Burr standup comedy story. They had heckled and bood every other comedian that night who tried normal jokes. Then ol' ginger billy comes on and just starts talking shit about everything in the city and what do you know? They start cheering again.

Being from such a squalid shithole must mean they only enjoy spiteful comments. Try trolling with overly kind or positive comments with them.

Sorry, I'm no expert on Philadelphia. Most of my knowledge comes from documentaries on crime. I do however know they have a bell, a baseball team and a lot of fentanyl.
