Every time we hang out he misgenders me, I keep explaining to him, that I don't like it and I don't like my name and he keeps doing it. He refuses to call me by my chosen name, he sends me "cute" stuff he found with my deadname on it.... And I just can't.. I mean I love the guy but holy shit how many times I need to explain... I'm 30 and he is 36 btw...

I once tried coming out to a then-partner by telling him I use they pronouns. He responded, “oh, I just use whatever comes to mind when I see the person” and I tried explaining what I meant but he changed the subject. I later did successfully come out to him but I noticed he would use “they/them” to refer to all our female friends. I tried calling him out on it and he said he hadn’t noticed, shrugged it off.
