True story:

Back when San Andreas came out, I bought the original version, not the game of the year addition which came out later.

I wanted to get 100% in the game because it gave you some neat perks and I lived in a rural part of FL at the time, so not much else to do.

I got everything. Every collectable, all gold in all the vehicle schools, all the driving challenges, etc

Except one thing: The Zero Missions. Zero is this butthole questgiver that runs an RC shop. His quest line isn't that long. Just three missions. Easy, right?

I beat the first one first try. I started the second mission, and failed. And failed again. And failed again. Over and over again. You have to fly this RC plane equiped with a gun, take out vans and dudes on bikes and then fly the plane back to Zero's shop before the plane' fuel runs out. I just could NOT beat this mission. I would always run out of fuel a little ways from the building that I needed to land on.

I spent weeks on this fricking thing. Keep in mind I'm at 99% complete at this point and all I have left is two side missions and I've completed everything. I was determined to beat this shit.

One night I failed like 50 times in a row and snapped. It's the only time I've ever thrown a controller and broke it. I was near crying in frustration. Why can't I beat this fricking mission?

I finally gave up and never did 100% the game.

Some years later I found out why: in the original release of the game, that mission is bugged. There's literally not enough fuel to complete the mission. All that effort and frustration was for nothing.
