Honestly, public employee unions are 100% cursed. If cops and teachers didn't have unions most of the problems people have with them would disappear. The government isn't the same as the private sector in that they provide mostly monopoly services, so entrenched unions shouldn't get to hold the taxpayer hostage when there's no alternative
