i don't usually like to talk politics
how Zionists run and control society
Not society as a whole. Only the banks, the media, the entertainment industry (+ all of the porn industry) and most food and FAANG indutries

The online discourse around this is as usual dominated by idiot fanatics on one side or the other, so can someone explain what it is that this guy actually did and what he is being accused of having done?

He has been, incontrovertibly, a leader of the protests at Columbia.
Speaking outside of a courtroom, I would confidently call him a Hamas supporter. As I have seen these protests both in person and through media, I can confidently state they are not anti-war, rather they are pro-war on the side of the "Palestinian resistance" i.e. Hamas, Islamic Jihad, the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine, etc. They wish to destroy the state of Israel and kill or drive out its Jews. They chant Hamas slogans, display Hamas symbols, and distribute Hamas propaganda.
If he was on a student visa, my understanding is this would be quite sufficient for his removal.
But when they showed up to arrest him they learned he was actually under a green card, which is stronger protection, and requires more in the way of hearings and due process before revocation. But the agents called some boss, who decided to arrest him anyway. Then they scrambled to find some way to fix things up.
So I don't know that anything he's done counts as "Hamas supporter" for legal purposes. At the moment there are at least two legal proceedings concerning him. In the immigration courts he has a March 27 hearing, under INA 237(a)(4)(C)(i) under which the feds can remove an "alien whose presence or activities in the United States the Secretary of State has reasonable ground to believe would have potentially serious adverse foreign policy consequences for the United States". The idea being that fighting anti-Semitism is a foreign policy interest of the United States and his presence is gonna frick that up. In my non-professional opinion it's coherent, but kind of a stretch. That provision has seen little use.
The other proceeding is a habeas petition by Khalil in the NY Southern District Court. So far this court has ordered that he not be deported pending their proceedings. If I counted correctly he has 16 lawyers.
TL;DR: This is a Hamas-loving r-slur but also some Trump r-slurs bungling everything up.
P.S.: If you see anything about "what crime" it's a bit of a red herring, reasons for aliens to be removed are not necessarily criminal.

You had a chance to not be completely worthless, but it looks like you threw it away. At least you're consistent.

This is r-slurred. The First Amendment doesn't grant any rights, it restricts government interference in speech. It wouldn't even matter if they were illegally in the US (though they can't claim selective enforcement when they get deported).
