Hajime no ippo is peak anime

Dead Mount Death Play has been my surprise hit of the season so far. I like the reverse-isekai angle and I'm always a sucker for a completely OP MC who tries to hide his power level until someone really deserves it.

demon slayer is really cool and I'm tired of pretending it isn't

The amount that the internet was hyping it up had me skeptical but Oshi no Ko is pretty good. It's a solid mystery/revenge thriller. It kind of feels like what you'd get if you told a hardcore weeb to retell Hamlet

I'm watching testament of new devil sister. It only took me 3 episodes to realize this is basically hentai, but 6 episodes to realize I'm going to watch it no matter how bad it gets.

Went pretty basic earlier this week and watched death note since I hadn’t seen it in about 5 years. Watched my next life as a villainous with some friends. Was a pretty okay anime but I don’t like harem anime

Hells paradise has been pretty kino so far. Plus the mc is a cute twink (not a filtered twink) which is just great.

I watched the oshi no ko anime and it’s basically sticking exactly to the manga which is a shame because there’s some stuff in the beginning that absolutely needs to be cut because it tonally doesn’t match the rest of the show at all and is probably the reason most people who dropped the show dropped it.

Yeah, it's light novel review time again.

First, I finished the last 2/3 of Mushuko Tensei Vol 19 that I dropped way back in October. It was as bad as a expected it to be. It did the same thing to the villain as it did in previous volumes, where they're turned morally gray at the last moment. It's terrible disappointing that both Rudeus and Roxy cry over the usurping, paterniciding, groping, kidnapping Pax. Of course, it's not possible for either of them or the author to critique Pax's molesting and horrible behavior while Rudeus behaved in a similar way. that would hurt the feeling of the self inserters.

Then, I read Magical Explorer Vol 4. It was nothing standout in either good or bad. It sets up some plot that might turn out somewhat interesting down the line. If there had been ten volumes translated already I would probably have read them all but as it is, with one volume every 6 months or so it's hard to be invested in any of the characters, and 10+ Japanese names are pain to remember.

Furthermore, I was looking for some new series, so I read Private Tutor to the Duke's daughter Vol 1. This is supposed to turn into more of a political intrigue down the line but I'm not sure if I will continue after the first volume. It's not Isekai, but it also practically is.

Lastly, I finished Min-Maxing my TRPG build in Another World Vol 1 just last night. This has some tryhard, pretentious prose and the author loves writing about the spider that's on the cover. The plot as fairly standard, not sure if it's meant to be meta before it gets more interesting later or if it will continue with cookie cutter TRPG campaign style plot lines.

Now I can't really decide if I should continue either Private Tutor or Min-Max, to give the authors and the plot a chance to improve. Or if I should look for something else entirely.

You're perpetuating harmful language even after being told it's harmful. If you don't understand why it's harmful, or my very clear explanations aren't good enough for you, look it up. Maybe someone else will be able to teach you how not to be rude, but you clearly aren't actually engaging in my argument, so I'm done with you.

Seriously, though, try and be better. And look it up if you don't understand what I'm saying, because this is a real issue and ignoring it after it's been revealed to you would make you willfully ignorant, rather than just the not knowing something type of ignorant, which everyone is about hundreds of topics, and is not a bad thing. Being unwilling to learn when you discover there might be an issue is exactly one of the main problems that perpetuates the patriarchy and racism. It's easier to be a bigot than to correct your thinking, I get it, but just try.
