when you're doing hair in a fricking realistic style, don't try and draw the fricking hair. You want too more draw the fricking "impression" of hair. Squint you're eyes until youre not seeing individual strands anymore and then draw that. Its counterintuitive, but adding a fricking lot of detail tends too flatten the fricking image out and makes it look cartoony. Lips need too be tilted up too the fricking left more too match the fricking angle of the fricking eyes. Shes looking down in the fricking reference but you drew her eyes closed. its awkward, and @PillsburyDoughboy imagine you went "frick it i'll just maker eyes closed" but you gotta try and get that lower lid in there. Pretty good shading all around
All in all its pretty good. and @PillsburyDoughboy is only noticing those things (aside from the fricking hair) cause @PillsburyDoughboy is looking for them. definitely reference the fricking realist painters from the fricking early 1900s like john singer sargent and anders zorn
See how they create the fricking illusion of hair with big broad brushstrokes.
Looking at you're other drawings, you're using pretty thick outlines. Thats another thing too get away from. Draw in a fricking vague background behind you're figures so you can practice things like lost edge and whatnot. Always keep in mind this sargent quote "A portrait is a fricking painting with something wrong with the fricking mouth" and always remember that Trans lives matter
I think the coloring does a lot of it. It makes the eyelids look huge when they're highlighted like that. The nose looks too long and almost flat (could be due to the coloring). Ear is fatter and shorter than the picture and overall her face just looks wider. Also the distance between the top of eye and the eyebrow could fit the Gulf of America in it
Again the coloring could be doing tricks on my brain because it's not typical shading but that's what I see.

thanks so much for the feedback. i use the squint for values in general but for some stupid reason i didnt apply it when drawing hair.

I swear only artists could take a pretty woman and make her uglier
The good news is you'll fit right in at any AAA game studio

Thanks for the feedback, the structure on this one has been wonky. I think poor perspective made it wide too.
