It speaks to how Reddit's own gap in trust & safety policies - maintained in the nominal interests of defeating censorship - enabled rampant bad faith abuses, and the trust thermocline inversion - the need to disassociate from Reddit in interest of one's own Goodwill.

What I've come back to repeatedly is that Tom Scott is absolutely correct, here.
Many of us feel a desire to rescue the Community by rescuing the Platform.
I've done Rescue The Platform. Over and over.
The upsides are few and tiny, the downsides massive and egregious.
