If there's one consolation, their narrative of India's once greatness being ruined by invaders directly fuels the attitude that leads electing rightoid parties. The rightoids only build upon this victimization narrative the only difference being that according them our decline started with arrival Mohammed not Clive like lefty authors like to pretend. Their arguments have gotten stupider since drain of wealth. Like this author claims agri commercialization in 19th century happened to meet anglo tax demands not out of capitalist profit seeking. I have another course on medieval economic history and the difference qualitatively between the two is massive. With much less data to go on that one manages to be much more logical. I hate these 'people' so much.
