If there's one consolation, their narrative of India's once greatness being ruined by invaders directly fuels the attitude that leads electing rightoid parties. The rightoids only build upon this victimization narrative the only difference being that according them our decline started with arrival Mohammed not Clive like lefty authors like to pretend. Electoral results show which approach is more effective. They deserve their political irrelevance.
Their arguments have gotten stupider since drain of wealth. Like this author claims agri commercialization in 19th century happened to meet anglo tax demands not out of capitalist profit seeking. Like what bipoc tax demands(aside from being extremely low) were on % of produce not some absolute value how the frick does that make sense even in his midwit marxoid mind?
I have another course on medieval economic history and the difference qualitatively between the two is massive. With much less data to go on that one manages to be much more logical. I hate these 'people' so much.
I was literally thinking it must be some Bengali. Even Roy is the way he is because he started questioning the Marxist hyperbole being shoved down everyone's throats in WB. Unfortunately, Bengal was one of the first states to fall for this ideology. Sed what they did to the state.
