LOL my brother in law who wanted to move closer to his office after my nephew was born faced the same shit, some ridiculous condition after another. and he works in a huge MNC bank with great pay. He said frick it and bought an apartment in a new construction project nearby. He was like I can sell this shit after I move back but "frick these renters absolute r-slurs"

Electronic City, its kinda closer to his office than the old rental house he was in, was able to get a huge 2000sft apt for like 1.8cr, good deal imo considering bangalore.
even hyd is going for higher prices these days, cant get apts below 3cr in IT areas. hopefully hyd doesn't turn into bangalore

Hes not native to bangalore, but has been there for a while since he got placed there. his justification was basically he can sell the house at a price higher than he bought it for anyway if he ever plans to move back home. the landlords were imposing ridiculous conditions and asking for too much which made him buy the apartment to avoid dealing with them

I live here and it's the best city I have lived in. It comes down to where you live in Bangalore. The new areas like Whitefield are absolute garbage and you only see shit like this in those area.
I live in a slightly older area and it's amazing. Everything is 5 min walk away, rent is low, area is full of parks and greenery. And it's not a society so we can do whatever we like.
The only issue is that /r/bangalore is a constant sneedfest. /r/delhi is probably the only city subreddit that's pretty chill.

I do. Its still loud af, polluted and takes ages to go anywhere not on the metro line (90% of the city). Except for a few areas the city is just ugly and theres no vibe
