Nice to know northies face such issues too. Years ago, the was a couple who approached an uncle of mine for a flat in is 3 storey 6flat building, they were willing to pay 20% extra since many were not willing to rent it out to them. My uncle was a nice guy and was ready to give them the apt at that price, they were paying everything on time for the first 3 months, then they bought their other couple friends and my uncle was like ok all of you seem like a join family and gave 4 apts to them spanning 2 floors (these were new and people were still asking but these people made unbeatable offers). Everything went fine for another 3 months, and then BAM, no rents, 3 months passed, 6 months passed not one of the 4 apts gave a single paisa rent.

It was huge drama, uncle had to reach out to local mla, who then asked him for bribe and then I think one of my dad's friends who was close to the DGP at that time got the DGP involved and got them kicked. He essentially lost almost 1.5 year of rents on 4 flats. This news spread far and wide in the area and people stopped renting to nogs completely even if they were paying they got kicked out sooner or later.
