Tbh there had to be a level of stupidity on how a private army consisting entirely of bribed Indians and failsons from a rainy island pawned off on a trading company to stop embarrassing father managed to repeatedly defeat larger Indian armies who were using the same modern weapons and tactics almost purely by having the Indian rulers keep backstabbing each other despite the past century of seeing how that turned out. A solid portion of the EICs conquest of India was financed by Indian bankers even.
