My wife is watching through the show for the first time. Finished season 3 yesterday.
It's so obvious the show was only meant to be one season and they're really reaching for ideas. We went from a single research facility in a small town, to a goddarn secret Russian base miles underground, tapping off substations without the utility knowing, and a literal Russian Terminator chasing after Hopper.
Will, season 1, was a major focus.
Season 3, he's had like eight lines, 5 of which being "he's here". His neck got more screentime than his dialog.
Can't wait for her to start season 4 and learnHopper was the only person in the room not to vaporized despite being inches away from the machine farrrrrrt

Iirc it was supposed to be more of an anthology style with a different cast and setting each season, but the kids were really popular so netflix jettisioned the original plan to keep them on for rest of the show, with the obvious consequences
