Couple arrested after school WhatsApp chat messages say they 'cannot fathom what happened' ||| says "we had a bit of banter on a WhatsApp group, and then we were arrested"

Bongland Rules:

1. Do not abrogate Section 127 of the 2003 Communications Act by:

• Posting anything on this community that may be considered by others as 'grossly offensive'.

• Posting anything on this community that may be considered by others as 'inciting racial hatred' - This includes use of emoji depicting BIPOC (Black, Indigenous People of Colour).

• Encouraging others to do so.

2. Do not abrogate The 2010 Equality Act by:

• Discriminating against other users of this community on the basis of gender, race, perceived disability status, sex, economic status, sexuality or other protected characteristic

• Misgendering users or intentionally/repeatedly using the wrong pronouns to refer to another user.

• Discriminating against breastfeeding/chestfeeding mothers.

2a. In particular, DO NOT post any information, factual or otherwise, that may invite criticism of or cause offense to:

• Pakistanis or people of Azad-Kashmiri or Mirpuri extraction

• Individuals of the muslim faith

This INCLUDES statistics that are considered accurate by the ONS

3. Do not abrogate the 2023 Online Safety Act by:

• Posting misinformation/disinformation (this INCLUDES articles from right-wing publications like The Daily Mail) regardless of harm or intent

• Posting anything pornographic

• Posting anything likely to harm women and girls. This includes criticism of female MPs like Angela Rayner or Diane Abbott.

• Encouraging self-harm (unless directed at a non-protected group such as White British Males).

4. Do not abrogate the 2000 Terrorism Act by:

• Supporting any behaviour or group that is proscribed or otherwise deemed to be extremist by His Majesty's Government. Note that this includes support of Nigel Farage and/or Reform UK.

• Criticising or denigrating social institutions like The NHS, The CPS or Home Office in a way that could be perceived as extremist

• Advocating for widespread change of the Status Quo parliamentary democracy currently in place.

Enforcement:

Serious infractions will be subject to:

• Exile from the community

• Chud award

• Investigation by law enforcement, pursuant to the Investigatory Powers Act 2016

• Reporting a Non Crime Hate Incident to your local constabulary, pursuant to the Public Order Act 1986 and the College of Policing's Hate Crime Operational Guidance (2014)
