IME the height inflation happens more in the (real) 5'8-5'11 height range, bumping themselves up to 5'10-6'.

As a woman almost every date I've ever had over the last 2 years has lied about their height. Please don't.
I am convinced that nearly every man who claims to be 6 feet tall is lying.
Those who are 5'10 or 5'11 round up to 6 feet. Guys who are actually 6 feet (to the extent they really exist, I'm not convinced) say that they are 6'1 in order to avoid people thinking they're lying.
Honestly, I've seen guys lie about their height up to 4 inches.
I'm starting to think height inflation also includes guys who have lied to themselves for SO LONG that they forgot it was a lie, and a few relationships, apps, and profiles later add an additional two inches to the original lie. There's absolutely no other plausible explanation for how I, a 5'8” woman, am the same height as nearly every 6'0” guy I go on a date with.

I love doing that too - I'm 6'1 and it's great to mess with guys in the range of 5'10 to 6'3. My co-workers had a “tradition” of marking our heights on a doorframe with no measurement markings, so I endlessly messed with a 6'0 guy this way (who always claimed to be 6'1).

We need to swap height to the metric system to take pity on manlets because women set some psychotic arbitrary cutoff at 13% of the population. 5'11" is barely any different, especially considering they're still vastly taller than the average woman, but as soon as you give them a filter, they immediately lock into their mind that it can't be below 6' tall.
The metric system is much more granular in its presentation which makes it less obvious to women setting arbitrary cutoffs. The average male height being 5'9" is unacceptable in a woman's mind, but 175 cm barely sounds any different than 180 cm. Even if they set 180 cm as the new cutoff, you would be saving 5'11" manlets which increases the dating pool from 13% of the population to 23%. Its also easier for a 178 cm guy to fudge the numbers as 180 cm which could round the dating market out to 36% of the population falling within a "viable" spectrum.

Also I think in reality less than 13% men are taller than 6' as you see most height is self reposted and often when it's measured it's in shit way.
For example locally average height of men is 6'1 and my mom is 5'10,5 so that will mean most men are taller than my mom but in reality most are shorter.
Foids also lying about height like I matched with one girl she was 165 (my cut off is 165cm because I don't feel comfy with shorter girls) talking with her her height went from 165 cm to 162cm then to 160cm and ended in 155cm. She added to her self 10cm
