iirc some claimed form of PTSD thats all in your head and causes no unconscious physiologic response which is used a blanket/bucket diagnosis to handwave away all lazy/emotionally stunted people acting like fricking idiots despite demonstrating agency and then throwing temper tantrums like babies

Basically regular PTSD is formed in response to a specific traumatic event e.g. a Post Traumatic Stress Disorder.

C, Complex, PTSD, is a more recent phenomena, or at least hypochondriacs and malingerers have latched onto it over the last few years. With CPTSD they don't have a specific larger traumatic event but rather a series of smaller events over a long period that coalesce into something larger than the sum of their whole to result into the PTSD response.

It's basically a way for people who haven't really experienced hardship (other than Mum not letting them colour their hair as teenagers or rot in bed) to latch onto a disorder. Essentially it's stolen valour from people with PTSD.

Funny story is that larger scale review of those diagnosed with CPTSD find that actually they fit the diagnoses for PBD and Narcissistic Personality Disorder. Which should tell you all you need to know about who is claiming CPTSD.
