I was one of like, three kids that could do 2nd grade math at a 2nd grade level, so I somehow ended up in the gifted program by default.
It was butt.
School was a far greater distance than the last one, so no familiar faces to anchor to.
The other kids were WAY smarter than me and outperformed me because their parents actually went to school and had good jobs and were present in their lives.
Teacher was an unironic man-hating spinster who scrutinized everything the boys did, and the girls were perfect angels.
Homework packets 4 nights a week consisting of multiple pages of worksheets.
No recess. Ever. (We had computer lab though, which I attribute to my profound autism)
I have it brain-wormed into me that we were forced to watch some Spanish tutoring program called Saludos? I think? And the theme song has been buried in my central subconscious ever since. I can't even speak Spanish.
They asked at the end of the school year if I wanted to go back to my old school and I leapt at the chance. I embrace my averageness.

I had that teacher lmao. Thankfully I grew up into a gigatwink by 16 and virtually all women started treating me well despite my lack of interest in gussy, so she ended up letting me out early because I asked if I could go when she held all the boys back one day. Being an neurodivergent I didn't realise this would make the rest of the lads resent me massively though, so it really tanked my ability to make friends.

I tallied up everything our poor FtM suffers from:
(1) Extremely smart as a child but also abused at home (and yet nobody in the gifted/talented program noticed or picked up on this)
(2) Age 26, eating disorder which (somehow) leads to a diagnosis of CPTSD
(3) Age 27, AuDHD (that is, a combination of autism and attention deficit hyperactivity disorder)
(4) Age 28 or so, Dissociative Identity Disorder
(5) Came out as trans male, got divorced and then "kicked to the curb" by ex-husband, friends, and family
(6) Physical problems - POTS, gastric issues, migraines (these may all be part of the POTS if this is an accurate diagnosis)
(7) Possibly Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome but not confirmed yet
All this by the age of thirty! See why I think "Oh, guess what everyone, I'm trans!" was maybe a new condition they came out with when everyone was used to the laundry list of other problems and wasn't being as supportive and "you are so wonderful, I don't know how you do it" anymore.

This person can't even be bothered to work out that disability benefit is very tightly graded so "I can't work, I'm disabled, here is my laundry list of very specific, obscure, psychiatric problems!" won't fly if they are physically able to do something like, for instance, stack shelves in a supermarket.

Basically regular PTSD is formed in response to a specific traumatic event e.g. a Post Traumatic Stress Disorder.
C, Complex, PTSD, is a more recent phenomena, or at least hypochondriacs and malingerers have latched onto it over the last few years. With CPTSD they don't have a specific larger traumatic event but rather a series of smaller events over a long period that coalesce into something larger than the sum of their whole to result into the PTSD response.
It's basically a way for people who haven't really experienced hardship (other than Mum not letting them colour their hair as teenagers or rot in bed) to latch onto a disorder. Essentially it's stolen valour from people with PTSD.
Funny story is that larger scale review of those diagnosed with CPTSD find that actually they fit the diagnoses for PBD and Narcissistic Personality Disorder. Which should tell you all you need to know about who is claiming CPTSD.

That's not how it was for me. In grade 4 everyone in Ontario takes the Otis Lennon test, a few in the school move on to take the Ross test then even fewer take the Wisc test.
If you pass the third you have the option to go to a completely new school unless you already go to the one with the program and are in the same class of like 20 kids a quarter of which are spergs for the rest of elementary school.
I was not moved on to the continued high school program after grade 8 and almost all these kids in my class from grades 4 to 8 other than the too neurodivergent types are doing great things.
Me and my best friend are by far the least successful from that program but the majority do well so I never buy the shit I see on reddit. For me I think I peaked in like grade 4 then people caught up and for whatever reason I was ahead at a younger age.

Like, I'm online acquainted with someone who has Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome, and it's a crappy disease. But you don't just get a diagnosis at age 27 or so. You have that since you're a kid, and the doctors will figure it out, because you'll keep showing the symptoms associated with it. If the rheumatologists are "mulling it over", they're probably thinking "This is some Munchausens bullshit but we can't directly call them a liar".
And surprise freakin' surprise, when they decided they were really a guy, their husband got a divorce because he's not gay and wanted to be married to a woman, not a man. So they split up and now New Real Man has to manage their own life, which they describe as being "kicked to the curb". What they did expect the ex to do? "Okay, you're a guy, and we're divorced, but you can stay living in my house and I'll pay for all your needs"?
If I believe anything is going on, it's that this specimen is BPD and a narcissist to boot.
