Feminism is the reason that women have the ability to vote. It's the reason why women get to have options on what careers they want instead of only being a housewife, and why women get to have the bodily autonomy they should have always had in the first place. (Even with more progressive feminist views being in place in society, there's still a lot of issues women face like sexual harassment and assault, and gender wage gaps).

zoomer moids grew up in a time where these problems existed primarily in history books and third world shitholes. they have never known a world where feminism was needed to fight for basic rights and freedoms.

They have been told this story where every generation of men except for them got hot virgin wives who were eternally submissive and adoring and catered to their every need and whim. Then Feminism came along and turned almost all the women into screeching harpies who'll cry r*pe if you look at them sideways.

They see these types of things as a zero sum game. They believe, incorrectly, that if women gain something then men must be losing something.

but this belief that they lost something is correct. they lost the leverage of women being financially dependent on them. i think giving women the right to financial independence was the right and moral thing to do, but it absolutely reduced the value of the average moid in the dating market. maybe they weren't all getting adoring submissive virgin wives, but "every generation of men except for them" did have an advantage that's now gone.

losing privilege really does feel like oppression, and progressives have given little incentive for allyship save for an extra helping of moral castigation to atone for the sin of being born among the oppressor class . young men begin shifting rightward and progs are, of course, flabbergasted that the demographic they made no effort to curry favor with isn't lining up to vote against their own self interests.
