being a neet is how you get an adult diagnosis, no one's going to bother you about it otherwise. it's also beneficial in that case because it lets you stay on your parents' insurance.

reminder that the supposed increase in autism is MOSTLY (not entirely) a function of the fact that most sub-70 IQ people are now considered both r-slurred and neurodivergent instead of just r-slurred. always consider what cohort of neurodivergent people is being discussed.
always consider what cohort of neurodivergent people is being discussed.
The neurodivergent/neurotypical has always bothered me.
For example: the shift from Asperger's/high functioning autism/low functioning autism being separate disorders up through the DSM IV-TR, to being classified as a spectrum disorder in the DSM-5, made it more difficult to talk about a specific population. Clearly the people who have Aspergers are different from those with low functioning autism. However, they are largely treated as the same condition in any research using the DSM-5 criteria. Nothing wrong with treating conditions as existing on a continuity. When you don't know the underlying causal factors, as is the case with autism, it's disingenuous and harmful to define it as continuous.
The ND/NT dichotomy is even worse because it tries to encompass anyone who has (or just believes themselves to have) a developmental or mental disorder. It's a distinction without a difference that exists so foids can have another identity slider to play with at the expense of people who actually have a clinically significant disorder.
Spectrum theory of any kind will always be r-slurred.
EVERYTHING IS AND HAS ALWAYS BEEN ON A SPECTRUM!!!
Categories exist to more precisely pinpoint a specific subset of the spectrum as one grouping.
Like saying study of the color green instead of the study of light black shade on the white/black spectrum.
The very concept of spectrum bullshit is at its heart an obfuscating measure as can be seen with how all races exist on a spectrum so all races aren't the same, but at the same time you can pinpoint medication that would better on black people than white people, or white people than black people.
I agree with your last statement. Although I wouldn't be surprised if it also has quite a bit to do with non-exclusion ideologies combined with doctors having more leeway with getting away with misdiagnosis by stating it is all the same spectrum than by going oops I have complete r-slur meds to the aspie and brain damaged him for life.
Also yeah holding a job is hard when all of it looks like an act. Like, why can't I just tell my boss when he is wrong instead of pretending he is right to retain my job? Why is my workmate talking about treating men just like women but he obviously flirts with women but not men? Why is my job description so vague and why won't they just give me a single project then leave me alone long enough to finish it. Why are they trying to burn me out and expecting me to just put up with getting burned out?
Stuff like that.
Which is why I argue that neurodivergents at heart are not the next level of the species but actually a dead degenerated branch, because the neurodivergent is the equivalent of a tiger that doesn't know how to hunt, or a bird that doesn't know its mating dance. They are missing a core human property that is causing them to be functionally useless to a society where "the performance/ the act" is part of everyday lived reality.
You never see a bird arguing how come I have to do a dance for the foid bird? Why can't she just be able to tell I am obviously a healthy mate and frick?
We ( I was never diagnosed ) are missing something that is part of baseline humanity. No idea exactly what though.

There's a paper I can't find but it detailed life outcomes of assburgers patients.
The stat that blew my mind was that neurodivergents with degrees are less employed than the blind.
Degreed neurodivergents have like a 90% unemployment rate.
Socially fitting in is all that matters in life.
Nobody wants to deal with neurodivergents.
The only way out for neurodivergents is benzodiazepine addiction.
A couple mg of RC grade Etizolam and you can go full autopilot normie.

It's been forever since I read it but I think having a job for more than 6 months and having had s*x twice puts you in the top 5% of tism males

The blog post explicitly cites at least some data about non-r-slurred spergs
