I watch the Urban Rescue Ranch and he has clappies. The capybara seems like a really dumb animal lol. Do you find that the chinchilla is dumb or do they have personality and some kind of smarts?

Those are babies! Can't judge them! Most (all?) large social animals are pretty smart and have children that stay pretty dumb for awhile.

They definitely have some kind of personality, my mayo (RIP) chin was braver and would let you pet him without much struggle but the BIPOC's a lot more jumpy and aloof, so even something simple like her letting me scratch her chin feels like an achievement lol :marseychinchilla2:

I think they're smarter than they look considering how I've seen mine escape the fence using ways I'd have never considered such as this:
